MyTechHelp Privacy Policy

Effective Date: May 5, 2026

MyTechHelp is designed to help users receive remote assistance from trusted helpers. This Privacy Policy explains what information MyTechHelp collects, how it is used, and what choices users have.

Important: MyTechHelp allows a requester to share their screen with a helper during an active support session. Helpers can view the requester’s screen only while screen sharing is active. MyTechHelp does not give helpers remote control of the requester’s device.

1. Information We Collect

MyTechHelp may collect the following types of information:

Account Information

When you sign in or create an account, MyTechHelp may collect information such as your name, email address, user identifier, and authentication information provided through Apple Sign In or Firebase Authentication.

Support Session Information

MyTechHelp may collect information related to support sessions, including requester name, helper name, session identifiers, timestamps, session duration, session status, and basic session history.

Screen Sharing Data

During an active support session, MyTechHelp may temporarily process screen image frames so the helper can view the requester’s screen. These frames are used only to provide the live support experience. Screen sharing begins only when the requester starts sharing and ends when the requester stops sharing or ends the session.

Diagnostic and Log Data

MyTechHelp may collect diagnostic logs and technical information to help troubleshoot issues, improve reliability, and support app functionality. This may include app events, errors, Firebase upload/download activity, session events, device type, operating system version, network status, and performance information.

Push Notification Tokens

If notifications are enabled, MyTechHelp may collect device push notification tokens so the app can send support request notifications or session-related alerts.

2. How We Use Information

MyTechHelp uses collected information to:

3. Screen Sharing and User Control

Screen sharing in MyTechHelp is controlled by the requester. A helper cannot start screen sharing on behalf of a requester. A helper also cannot take control of the requester’s device.

The requester may end the support session at any time. When a session ends, MyTechHelp attempts to stop the support session and screen sharing flow.

4. FaceTime Audio Calls

MyTechHelp may provide a button to help users start a FaceTime Audio call with the helper or requester. FaceTime Audio calls are handled by Apple FaceTime, not by MyTechHelp.

MyTechHelp does not control, record, store, or monitor FaceTime Audio calls. Ending a MyTechHelp support session does not automatically end a FaceTime call. Users are responsible for ending the FaceTime call separately when finished.

5. Third-Party Services

MyTechHelp uses Firebase services provided by Google to support authentication, database storage, file storage, push notifications, and app functionality.

Firebase may process information according to Google’s applicable privacy policies and service terms. MyTechHelp uses Firebase to store and manage app data such as user profiles, trusted helper relationships, session records, notification tokens, and temporary screen sharing data.

6. Data Sharing

MyTechHelp does not sell user personal information.

Information may be shared only as needed to provide app functionality, comply with legal obligations, prevent misuse, or operate services through providers such as Firebase.

During a support session, the helper may see the requester’s screen while screen sharing is active. Users should avoid displaying sensitive personal, financial, medical, or confidential information while sharing their screen unless they are comfortable with their helper seeing it.

7. Data Retention

MyTechHelp may retain account information, trusted helper information, session history, and diagnostic logs for as long as needed to provide the service, support users, improve app reliability, or comply with legal obligations.

Temporary screen sharing frames are intended for active support use and are not intended to be permanent records of a user’s screen.

8. Account Deletion

Users may delete their MyTechHelp account from inside the app by going to Settings > Account Data > Delete My Account.

Account deletion removes or anonymizes account-related data where possible, including account profile information, trusted helper relationships, push notification tokens, help requests, and session records associated with the account.

Some anonymous records may be retained where needed for system integrity, troubleshooting, security, or legal requirements.

For questions about account deletion, contact us at: TechHelpSolutionsllc@outlook.com

9. Children’s Privacy

MyTechHelp is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 13, we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

10. Security

MyTechHelp uses reasonable technical and organizational measures to help protect user information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Your Choices

Users may choose whether to start screen sharing, accept support requests, enable notifications, or use FaceTime Audio calling. Users may also stop sharing their screen or end a support session at any time.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page.
