MyTechHelp Terms of Use

Effective Date: May 5, 2026

These Terms of Use govern your use of MyTechHelp. By using MyTechHelp, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Important: MyTechHelp is a remote support tool that helps users connect with trusted helpers. MyTechHelp does not give helpers remote control of a requester’s device.

1. Use of MyTechHelp

MyTechHelp is designed to help users request and provide technical assistance through support sessions, screen sharing, trusted helper connections, notifications, and optional FaceTime Audio calling.

You agree to use MyTechHelp only for lawful, respectful, and authorized purposes. You may not use MyTechHelp to harass others, access information without permission, impersonate another person, or assist with illegal or harmful activity.

2. Trusted Helpers

MyTechHelp may allow requesters to add trusted helpers. A trusted helper is someone the requester chooses to allow for easier support requests.

You are responsible for choosing who you trust. Only add helpers you personally know and trust. Remove a trusted helper if you no longer want them to receive support requests from you.

3. Screen Sharing

Screen sharing is controlled by the requester. A helper cannot start screen sharing on behalf of the requester.

During an active support session, the helper may be able to view the requester’s screen. The helper cannot take control of the requester’s device through MyTechHelp.

Requesters should avoid displaying sensitive personal, financial, medical, confidential, or private information during screen sharing unless they are comfortable with their helper seeing it.

4. FaceTime Audio Calls

MyTechHelp may provide a button to help start a FaceTime Audio call between the requester and helper. FaceTime Audio calls are handled by Apple FaceTime, not by MyTechHelp.

MyTechHelp does not control, record, store, monitor, or manage FaceTime Audio calls. Ending a MyTechHelp support session does not automatically end a FaceTime call. Users are responsible for ending FaceTime calls separately when finished.

5. No Official Apple Affiliation

MyTechHelp is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected with Apple Inc. Apple, FaceTime, iPhone, iPad, and other Apple product names are trademarks of Apple Inc.

6. User Responsibility

Users are responsible for their own actions while using MyTechHelp. Helpers are responsible for the guidance they provide. Requesters are responsible for deciding whether to follow helper instructions.

MyTechHelp is intended to assist with communication and remote support. It does not guarantee that a technical problem will be resolved.

7. Account Access and Security

You are responsible for maintaining access to your account and device. You agree not to share access to MyTechHelp in a way that could allow unauthorized use.

8. Availability and Changes

MyTechHelp may change, improve, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of MyTechHelp after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

9. Disclaimer

MyTechHelp is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free operation, or successful resolution of any technical issue.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MyTechHelp and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the app, support sessions, screen sharing, FaceTime calls, or helper guidance.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to MyTechHelp if we believe the app is being misused, used unlawfully, or used in a way that could harm others or the service.

12. Privacy

Your use of MyTechHelp is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
